What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the process of improving your website's visibility when people search your site in search engine's like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. In short, SEO is the process of taking steps to help a website or its content rank higher on Google.
Now let's start with full SEO optimization settings for your blogger. From this basic SEO settings rank your site in search engine.
(1) Title -
The Title of a website plays an important role. The Title of website is the first piece of information that a visitor/searcher will see. If someone has an query and he or she will search it in Search Engine's (eg- Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) here the website plays a key role. If the website's name is related to the query or searched topic, their will be high chances that the visitor/searcher will click or tab on that website.
So, it is important to use quality Titles on websites.
Title Tags are also used for -
- Indexing the website with almost all major search engines.
- Describing the website pages
- Provides the main hyperlink text that links to your site.
Make sure that the Title tag is descriptive, unique, clear, and contains keywords that people use when they are searching for your website. Title tags are <head> , <title>Example Title</title> , </head>.

(2) On Page SEO tips -
This tip is most important for Blogger so stay with us here we know on Page SEO tips-
First of all, Go to the Blogger dashboard. > Then click on the Theme section from the left menu. > Click on the HTML option > click anywhere in the code search using CTRL + F and our works starts now-
(i) <title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>
Replace the above code with this below codes-
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "index"'> <title><data:blog.title/></title> <b:else/> <title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title> </b:if>
(ii) Change Blog Heading-
Your blog titles are the most important HTML tags used to determine the value of a piece of text in a paragraph. Therefore, in terms of SEO, we use H1 for the post title of the blog. But the problem is with blogger; Blogger adds H3 to post titles in the default template. So we should at least promote the titles of the post titles from H3 to H2. Follow the tips below to make this work.
Go to the Blogger dashboard. > Then click on the Theme section from the left menu. > Click on the HTML option > click anywhere in the code search using CTRL + F-
Search for H3 and from the CSS to HTML change all 8 or 9 H3 tags to H2.
That's all and save template.
(iii) Enable Meta Description and Posts Search Description
Very important Meta Description for posts Search in Search Engine(Google). Now with new Blogger interface, we can write a description for both - our blog home page and for every single posts as well. But firstly, we will have to enable this option in new blogger interface. To Do so Go to the Blogger Dashboard. > Then click on the Setting option. > Search Preferences > Meta Tags > Enable > Yes.
and write maximum of 150 letters meta description for your blogger/blog and save it.
(iv) Custom Robot Header Tags
Now find Custom Robot Header Tag at the bottom of the page. And enable it with this setting shown in the picture.
After enabling this option you will see a small box named [Search Details] next to each new post side bar, allowing you to type in a unique search description of 130 to 150 characters for each individual post. This post must be unique by title.
(v) Add Custom Robot.txt file
To add custom robot.txt file go to the Google and search for - Custom Robot.txt file generator. And after that generate custom robot.txt file for your website and paste on the robot.txt file box and save it.
(vi) Additional :- Online SEO tools -
There are various online SEO tools for web research and competitor analysis. Some of these are free and some are paid tools. You can use - ahrefs.com, smallseotools.com, Yoast SEO, Moz.com, neilpatel.com
